Saratoga National Historical Park Winter Season

STILLWATER –  We heartily invite all to “Find Your Park” at Saratoga National Historical Park throughout the upcoming winter! The park’s visitor center, located on Route 32 and 4 in Stillwater, remains open 9am to 5pm daily all winter, except Christmas and New Year’s Day and offers a film, exhibits, ranger programs, museum store, Junior Ranger program and a kid’s corner where children can try on soldier’s coats or play in a soldier’s tent. The scenic tour road has closed to vehicular traffic on Thursday, December 1, but remains open from sunrise to sunset for walking and biking (when conditions allow), as do the park’s 10+ miles of hiking trails for walking, snowshoeing and cross country skiing.  New this year will be a special pilot project to groom ski trails, so be sure to stop at the visitor center for a trail map. Other winter activities include a pilot project for tubing down the visitor center hill, ranger guided winter hikes, and the annual Frost Faire on Saturday, January 28 from 11am to 3pm. Come Find Your Park right here in your backyard!  For more information about this or other events at Saratoga National Historical Park, please call the Visitor Center at 518-670-2985, check the park website at www.nps.gov/sara or follow us on Facebook and Twitter @SaratogaNHP
